Calicut Heroes made it to the last four of the Rupay Prime Volleyball League, the elite volleyball league of India.

Two title contenders Bengaluru Torpedos and Calicut Heroes faced off on Tuesday, February 28th, in a high-voltage game of the Rupay Prime Volleyball League.

Despite having lost to the Bengaluru-based franchise of the volleyball team by 2-3 sets (11-15, 11-15, 15-13, 15-10, 14-15), the Calicut heroes experienced little trouble reaching the semi-final due to their favourable position in the points table. On the other hand, winning this match provided a fillip to the Torpedoes and heavily kept them in the fray of hunting for the semi-final spot.

Bengaluru’s Ibin Jose was adjudged Man of the Match for his contribution to the game. After the match, Calicut Heroes coach Kishore Kumar said that despite his team’s strong performance, several unforced errors at crucial moments knocked them out of the game, but he did not forget to give credit to his players for reaching the semi-finals of the Volleyball League.
