Palestinian resistance has hailed Yemeni Armed Forcesโ hypersonic missile strike targeting the Ben Gurion Airport in the occupied territories on Monday. In a statement issued on Tuesday, August 5th, the left-wing resistance organisation, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), praised the Yemeni missile attack on Ben Gurion Airport.
โYemen is at the forefront of the living forces of our nation that have triumphed for Palestine through resistance and field action,โ the organisation stated in its statement.
โThe Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine commends the unique and bold military operation carried out by the Yemeni Armed Forcesโ missile force, which targeted Lod Airport in the occupied Jaffa region with a โPalestineโ hypersonic ballistic missile,โ it said.
โThis unique strike, precisely targeted at one of the most sensitive sites deep within the Zionist entity, represents a new development in the deterrence equation and a direct challenge to the myth of Zionist security and military superiority,โ the PFLP underscored.
Praising Yemeni Armed Forcesโ consistent missile attacks targeting the occupied territories, the PFLP said, โYemenโs continued, over many months, implementation of precise attrition operations targeting the depth of the entity, particularly its airports and military infrastructure, reflects a steadfast political, military, and popular will and an unshakable belief in the justice of the Palestinian cause.โ
โThese operations also confirm that Yemen possesses the will to fight and the most powerful weapon in the region, the weapon of truth and sincere allegiance to Palestine. This demonstrates that Yemenโs leadership, army, and people are at the forefront of the vital forces of our nation, which have triumphed for Palestine through resistance and action on the ground,โ the Marxist-Leninist organisation added.
The PFLP also called the strikes, especially the Yemeni Armed Forcesโ recent hypersonic missile strike targeting the Ben Gurion Airport, โnoble forms of supportโ for Palestine.
โWhile we express our deep pride in this honourable Yemeni stance, we affirm that these qualitative operations are among the most noble forms of support and backing for our national cause, given the genocide and systematic starvation to which our people in the Gaza Strip are subjected,โ the PFLP highlighted.
Remarkably, Yemen has been the only country in the Arab world that has been launching military attacks on Israel-occupied Palestinian territories, imposed a naval blockade in the Red Sea area and even fought against US aggression in support of Gaza.
The supreme leadership of Yemen has called for an end to Israelโs aggression in Gaza, to end its strikes and naval blockade. Israel and the West have suffered setbacks caused by the Red Sea blockade, causing massive disruption in global maritime traffic.
โWe also affirm that our standing with the brotherly Yemeni people in the face of the siege and aggression is a principled position, stemming from our conviction that our destiny and blood are one, and that our battle against the Zionist and colonial project is one, from Palestine to Sanaโa,โ the PFLP stressed, highlighting its internationalist stance.
Meanwhile, in a military communique, the PFLPโs military wing, Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, has claimed that one of its units had blown an Israeli military vehicle, killing its personnel in early July.
On a separate statement issued on Tuesday, the Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades said, โAfter contact with one of our groups was restored, one of our engineering units blew up a Zionist vehicle by detonating a pre-prepared anti-tank explosive device east of the Shujaโiyya neighbourhood in Gaza City on July 8th 2025, killing and wounding its personnel. This comes as part of our ongoing response to the occupationโs crimes against our people.โ
