Several Palestinian and Yemeni left-wing and nationalist organisations have condemned Israel’s recent attacks on Yemen.
The left-wing Palestinian resistance organisation, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), has called Israel’s latest attacks targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure in Yemen an act that “embodies the enemy’s impotence, defeat, and strategic failure”.
Yemen’s Socialist Nationalist Party said Israel’s repeated attacks “on civilians and vital service facilities demonstrate that this bankrupt entity possesses nothing more than a false list of targets, primarily civilian infrastructure unrelated to military or leadership sites,” Yemeni news agency Saba reported.
Meanwhile, Yemen’s Nasserist Popular Reform Organisation (NPRO) has also strongly condemned Israeli attacks on civilians in Yemen.
The NPRO emphasised that Israel’s latest attacks on Yemen “will not diminish the Yemeni people’s resolve nor deter them from continuing their steadfast religious, humanitarian, and national stance in supporting the Palestinian cause and standing with the oppressed Palestinian people facing genocide, siege and starvation in Gaza,” Saba reported.
Israel has been continuously launching attacks on Yemen and spreading misinformation regarding the killing of its top leadership.
Yemen’s top leadership has dismissed such reports, including the one that claimed Israel’s attack on selected targets in Yemen had killed its prime minister, calling them baseless.
Undeterred, Yemen has still held its weekly rally on Friday in support of Gaza, exhibiting its solidarity with the victims of Israel’s aggression.
PFLP condemns Israel’s attacks on Yemen, slams US
In a statement released late at night on Thursday, August 28th, the PFLP said it “condemns in the strongest terms the criminal Zionist aggression that targeted the Yemeni capital, Sana’a, at dawn today, with American approval”.
“It considers it a heinous war crime that once again reveals the bloody nature of this entity, which does not hesitate to shed the blood of unarmed civilians and destroy infrastructure in the service of its aggressive plans,” the Marxist-Leninist Palestinian resistance organisation said in its statement.
The PFLP blamed Israel’s latest attacks on civilians in Yemen as a result of the former’s frustration over its inability to stop the ballistic missiles fired by the latter targeting crucial military infrastructure in the occupied territories.
“This treacherous attack confirms that the Zionist enemy, after its repeated inability to break the steadfastness of the dear Yemeni people and its constant failure to confront the qualitative strikes launched by the Yemeni armed forces, is resorting to its usual cowardly tactic of targeting civilians and shedding the blood of innocents. This tactic embodies its weakness, defeat, and strategic failure, from which it will only reap more shame and failure,” the left-wing organisation stated.
Expressing its faith in the resilience of the Yemeni people, the PFLP said, “The Yemeni people, with their steadfastness and deep faith in the justice of their cause, along with their valiant armed forces and courageous leadership, continue to confront the aggression with rare bravery, writing a glorious history for the entire nation with the blood and heroism of their sons. They affirm that the will of the resisting peoples is stronger than any bombardment and aggression.”
The organisation also presented Israel’s latest attacks on civilians and infrastructure in Yemen as a continuation of its series of aggression targeting the neighbourhood, from Palestine, Lebanon, to Syria and Yemen.
“This aggression constitutes a renewed episode in the open war waged by the Zionist enemy against the entire nation, from Gaza to Sana’a. This calls for a unified resistance stance and an escalation of all forms of solidarity with our brotherly Yemen in the face of this criminal targeting,” the PFLP said, underscoring the need for solidarity and unified resistance.
“We, in the Popular Front, affirm our steadfast support for the brotherly Yemeni people in their just battle,” the PFLP said, exhibiting solidarity with the victims of the aggression.
Hailing Yemen’s role in the ongoing phase, the PFLP stated, “We view their steadfastness and resistance as an organic extension of the struggle of the Palestinian people and all liberation forces in the region.”
“Yemen today, like Palestine, represents an impregnable barrier against the new Zionist-American project and embodies the true meaning of unity of blood and destiny,” the organisation said in conclusion.
Earlier, the PFLP had condemned the US veto of a non-binding resolution on the Gaza genocide in the United Nations Security Council, highlighting it as Washington’s direct support for the ongoing aggression against the Palestinian people.
The PFLP highlighted that the statement exposes America’s direct role in the genocide and noted that the American veto prevented this from becoming a binding resolution.
The organisation noted that the world was fed up with “Zionist crimes” and the “deliberate obstruction of resolutions to halt the aggression”, and that the “US stands alone in its defence of the killers of children”, the state that uses starvation as a weapon.
Yemen’s Socialist Nationalist Party condemns Israel’s attacks
The Socialist Nationalist Party has condemned Israel’s attacks on Yemen.
It stressed that Israel’s repeated claims of striking military and political leaders only “expose its severe intelligence and military failure, as it lacks even the most basic information on centres of power and decision-making” in Yemen. “Instead, it resorts to targeting infrastructure and services essential to the people,” Yemen’s Socialist Nationalist Party said.
The Socialist Nationalist Party said that it affirms that such “cowardly aggression will not weaken the resolve of Yemenis, nor deter their mass mobilisations or halt their military operations in support of Gaza and Palestine.” “Rather, it will only strengthen their determination to continue resistance until the aggression ends and the blockade is lifted,” the organisation underscored.
Meanwhile, the Socialist Nationalist Party also accused the US of aiding Israel’s attacks on Yemen.
The Socialist Nationalist Party affirmed that “Yemen will not remain passive and that a response is inevitable at the appropriate time and place.”
It also called on the Yemeni people to further resilience, unity, vigilance, and to participate widely in Friday’s mass marches at Al-Sabeen Square in Sana’a and across other governorates and districts.
According to Saba, the Socialist Nationalist Party reiterated its “commitment to the national resistance project that places Palestine as the central cause of the nation, until full victory is achieved and the Arab nation rises united, free, and dignified.”
Nasserist PRO hails Yemen, slams US-Israel axis
The NPRO called Israel’s attacks on Yemen “a complete war crime” and a “flagrant assault on the sovereignty of an Arab state”, exposing the “terrorist nature of the Zionist entity, which has become a real threat to regional and global peace and security.”
The Yemeni organisation renewed its call to the international community, the United Nations and the Security Council, to “break free from the cycle of silence and double standards, take action to stop these crimes and hold the leaders of the occupying entity accountable as war criminals for all they have committed against the Palestinian and Yemeni peoples and the Arab and Islamic nation.”
Praising the Yemeni people’s stance of “resilience and unity around their revolutionary and political leadership in confronting aggression”, the Nasserist PRO affirmed that the battle against the Israeli forces is the “battle of the entire nation until victory is achieved and the occupier is defeated in Palestine and all Arab lands.”
