Palestinian resistance organisations have rallied behind Tehran’s military response after Iran launched devastating attacks against Israeli targets in its “Operation True Promise 3”. The coordinated assault, which began Friday evening, marks a dangerous escalation in regional tensions as Iran attacks Israel with unprecedented intensity, drawing widespread support from Palestinian factions who view the action as legitimate retaliation.
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) emerged as the most vocal supporter of Iran’s military campaign. The organisation’s leadership praised Tehran’s decision to strike back against what it termed “unbridled Zionist terrorism,” setting the stage for a broader confrontation that threatens regional stability.
PFLP hails Iranian retaliation as legitimate response
The PFLP’s central media department issued a comprehensive statement supporting Iran’s military action.
The Marxist-Leninist organisation “affirmed that the Iranian response to the crimes of the Zionist entity is an exercise of a legitimate right and a necessity to confront the aggression and deter the aggressors and their supporters.”
Palestinian resistance leaders praised Iran’s resolve in confronting Israeli aggression.
The PFLP “praised the steadfastness and cohesion demonstrated by the Iranian people and armed forces, and the firm will of the country’s leadership, which made courageous decisions to confront the aggression and respond to these Zionist terrorist crimes, confronting the logic of arrogance, blackmail, and terrorism.”
This endorsement reflects deeper strategic alignment between Palestinian resistance movements and Iran’s regional axis.
As Iran attacks Israel through coordinated missile barrages, Palestinian organisations view these strikes as part of a broader anti-colonial struggle against what they perceive as Western-backed Israeli expansionism.
The PFLP condemned international inaction that has enabled Israeli aggression.
The left-wing organisation “condemned the international silence, which has amounted to complicity with the Zionist entity in its aggression, despite the clarity of the aggressive and terrorist behaviour and intentions demonstrated by the Zionist entity in its attacks on Iranian facilities and cities.”
Israeli strikes trigger condemnation
The current escalation follows Israel’s earlier devastating strikes on Iranian military infrastructure and civilian targets.
These strikes killed senior Iranian military commanders, nuclear scientists and civilians, prompting widespread condemnation from Palestinian resistance organisations who viewed the assault as unprovoked aggression.
The PFLP issued a separate statement condemning Israeli strikes on Iran.
The organisation “condemned the terrorist Zionist aggression against Iran, which targeted the country’s capabilities, leaders, and civilian and military sites. It emphasised that this aggression is an expression of the terrorist and aggressive nature of the Zionist entity.”
Palestinian resistance groups mourned Iranian casualties while affirming Tehran’s right to defend itself.
The PFLP “mourned the martyred leaders who died defending their homeland against Zionist terrorism, affirming its confidence in the country’s ability and leadership to compensate for the loss of these great leaders, and that their successors will be able to fulfil their duties to the fullest extent.”
The organisations linked Israeli aggression directly to American support.
The PFLP “emphasised that this aggression would not have occurred without the partnership, cover, and support of the US administration, which has been and continues to be the head of the aggressive colonial system hostile to the peoples and countries of the region.”
Hamas and Islamic Jihad join condemnation chorus
Hamas delivered a forceful response to Israeli strikes on Iranian territory.
The organisation said it “strongly condemns ‘israel’s’ large-scale attack on Iran, calling it a dangerous escalation aimed at dragging the region into open conflict for the sake of zionist ambitions.”
Hamas leadership expressed “full solidarity with Iran and offers condolences for the martyrdom of senior figures, including IRGC Commander Hossein Salami, Chief of Staff Mohammad Bagheri, and nuclear scientists.”
The Islamic Jihad Movement also joined the condemnation.
The organisation said it “strongly condemns the ‘israeli’ aggression on Iran, describing it as a dangerous escalation aimed at triggering open regional conflict.”
Islamic Jihad expressed “full solidarity with Iran, praises its resilience, and exalts the martyrdom of key Iranian figures, including IRGC commander Hossein Salami.”
Al-Qassam Brigades spokesman Abu Obeida declared solidarity with Iran.
“We declare our solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran in the face of the brutal zionist aggression, which is primarily due to its unwavering support for the Palestinian people and its significant backing of their honourable resistance fighters,” he stated.
The spokesman warned of strategic miscalculation.
“The zionist enemy is utterly deluded if it thinks that these treacherous strikes can undermine the resistance fronts or solidify the foundations of this fragile entity in the region. On the absolute contrary, it continues to commit successive strategic mistakes that will bring it closer to its inevitable demise, God willing.”
‘Axis of Resistance’ mobilises against Israeli aggression
Hezbollah issued one of the strongest condemnations of Israeli strikes.
The Lebanese resistance organisation said it “strongly condemns the brazen ‘israeli’ aggression that targeted the Islamic Republic of Iran. This attack constitutes a dangerous escalation in the course of zionist recklessness, carried out under full American support and sponsorship.”
Lebanese resistance leaders warned of broader regional implications.
Hezbollah stated that Israel “is increasingly engaging in reckless acts and adventures that threaten to set the entire region ablaze in service of its aggressive ambitions and to save itself from internal crises.”
Yemen’s Ansarallah movement joined the regional response.
The organisation “strongly condemns ‘israel’s’ attack on Iran and asserts Iran’s full right to respond by all possible means.”
Ansarallah described Israel as “a nuclear-armed, aggressive force that poses a threat to the entire region, as it is responsible for tens of thousands of deaths in Palestine, Lebanon, and across the Arab world.”
The Yemeni movement praised Iran’s support for Palestinian resistance.
Ansarallah “praised Iran for being the only Islamic state that has steadfastly supported the Palestinian cause” while defending Iran’s nuclear programme as a sovereign right.
Iranian retaliation demonstrates regional resolve
Iran’s military response proved devastating and sustained.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) confirmed successful strikes on Israeli targets.
“In the third phase of Operation True Promise, we targeted the military centres and airbases that were the source of the criminal attack on our country, as well as the military-industrial facilities used by the zionist regime’s army to produce missiles and other weaponry,” the IRGC said in a statement on Saturday.
Iranian forces launched approximately 200 ballistic missiles at Israeli targets since Friday evening.
Russian news agency TASS reported that Iranian strikes hit more than 150 targets, including Israeli air bases housing F-35 and F-16 fighter jets.
The IRGC claimed successful penetration of Israeli defences.
“Field reports, satellite imagery, and intercepted intelligence confirm that dozens of ballistic missiles successfully struck strategic targets. Despite the enemy’s claims of interception, it failed to repel the waves of missile attacks launched by our forces,” the elite force stated.
Major General Ahmed Hamidi warned of continued escalation.
“Operation ‘True Promise 3’ will continue at an escalating pace, and with the first step, we dealt a strong blow to the zionist entity,” he said.
Civilian casualties mount as conflict intensifies
Iranian television reported significant civilian casualties from Israeli strikes—60 civilians, including 20 children, were killed in an attack on Chamran residential complex in Tehran on Friday.
The bodies of 10 of them have so far been recovered from under the rubble.
Saturday witnessed continued Israeli attacks on Iranian cities.
Explosions occurred in Tabriz, Kermanshah and Khorramabad according to Iranian media reports, indicating sustained military operations across multiple fronts.
Israeli media acknowledged Iran’s continued operational capacity despite extensive damage.
Reports suggest “Iran will be able to continue attacking the occupation entity with dozens of missiles daily until the end of the war,” demonstrating Tehran’s resilience and determination to maintain pressure.
The conflict shows no signs of abating as both sides prepare for a prolonged confrontation.
With American support backing Israeli operations and regional resistance movements rallying behind Iran, West Asia faces its most dangerous escalation in decades.
The solidarity demonstrated by Palestinian resistance organisations with Iran signals a broader regional realignment against Israeli aggression.
If Israel and the US don’t stop their aggression, then their posture threatens to transform this conflict into a comprehensive regional war that could further destabilise the entire Middle East.
